Zeljko Pahek - "The Time Zuck Company" (Heavy Metal - November 1990)

here is a fantastic little tale about a time traveling hunting company by Zeljko Pahek (Former Yugoslavia, 1954 -   )

Alberto Breccia - "Miedo" (1978)

a story by one of the great experimentalists ever to work in comics, Alberto Breccia (Argentina 1919-1993).  the size and scope of his artistic output is humbling to say the least.  he will be prominently featured at MICA.   here is a stunning example of his stark design and layouts, masterfully giving the story a palpable sense of dread and tension.

Alex Nino - "Tap Dancing on a Tender Cerabellum" (Heavy Metal vol 2 no 1 - May 1978)

We will start out with a short story written and drawn by Alex Nino (Philippines 1940 -   ).  apparently Nino never pre-plans his pages with thumbnail sketches or pencil art, instead diving straight into the inks on a blank piece of paper.  amazing.  we will be seeing a lot more of Mr. Nino here at the Museum of International Comic Art.
