Alberto Breccia - "Miedo" (1978)

a story by one of the great experimentalists ever to work in comics, Alberto Breccia (Argentina 1919-1993). the size and scope of his artistic output is humbling to say the least. he will be prominently featured at MICA. here is a stunning example of his stark design and layouts, masterfully giving the story a palpable sense of dread and tension.

Head Medicine's Museum of International Comic Art is a continuing online resource highlighting the finest artwork from the world's premier comic book illustrators. Most of the art to be featured has been long out of print or has never been available in the United States. MICA believes that this artwork needs to be revealed to a larger audience, especially in the US where much of it remains obscured, rather than leaving it to a select knowledgeable few in the collector's market.
